Ekta Varma’s journey into digital content creation began long before the camera ever turned on. Her early life was shaped by loss, instability, and constant movement. At six years old, she lost both her brother and father, leaving her mother to raise nine daughters alone. Childhood passed without a sense of permanence, as circumstances forced separation and frequent shifts from one place to another. Stability felt distant, and confidence even more so. At seventeen, while still in the eleventh grade, she was married after a brief courtship, a turning point that arrived without choice or preparation. Educated in a government school, Ekta struggled with English and often felt out of place, unsure of her voice and hesitant to speak.
Instead of surrendering to those limitations, she chose self work. Slowly, she practiced her language skills, listened, observed, and learned. Acting entered her life through small camera dramas, giving her a new way to express emotions she had carried quietly for years. Sharing content online started as curiosity, then grew into purpose. When she began creating content with her son, the connection felt natural and honest. Step by step, her presence grew, and today she is known as the face behind Mommy Mode On, counted among well known mom creators. Through it all, she credits her husband for standing by her side during moments of doubt, offering belief when her own confidence wavered.
Her journey brought lessons that go far beyond algorithms or reach. One truth stayed close to her heart, that no one loves you the way your parents do. Their love, she believes, remains unmatched and pure. She also learned that childhood pain does not get to write the ending of your story. Trauma may shape experiences, yet it does not get to decide the future. Healing, for her, came from choosing growth and refusing to let fear define what was possible.
Support plays a central role in how Ekta views professional life. For her, real support means someone who pushes you forward and does not let you fall, a role her husband continues to play. Outside that circle, she lives firmly within her values, without seeking approval. Coming from a Marwari background where visibility is not always encouraged, she faced opinions and judgment. She chose honesty over acceptance and stayed rooted in who she is, a choice that keeps her grounded.

In the early days, resources were almost nonexistent. She learned about tripods, remotes, gimbals, lights, and microphones one tool at a time. Simple gadgets changed everything, freeing her from depending on others for every frame. The learning curve extended into language as well. English became her biggest hurdle, from pronunciation to professional terms and trending slang. She researched, practiced, watched videos, and kept learning without skipping steps. Even now, she says the learning never stops.
Her content today revolves around fun, humor, and real life moments that feel familiar to many. She believes laughter can soften even the hardest days. “Laugh even when life disappoints you,” she says, sharing how a smile can shift perspective and give strength to move ahead. For her, humor is healing.
Digital platforms have opened doors for countless mothers, allowing them to be seen beyond household roles. Ekta feels grateful for the space that lets moms share talent, confidence, and creativity openly. To those starting out, her advice stays firm. Protect your mental peace. Set boundaries. Choose yourself without guilt. When peace is protected, growth follows naturally, and life begins to feel lighter and more aligned.
