Anushri Laddha: Making Personal Finance Simple, Relatable and Useful

A large part of who Anushri Laddha is today comes from her mother. Growing up, she was always encouraged to take part in stage activities, fancy dress, debates, oratory and competitions that involved performing in front of people. Her mother did not just want her to participate, she wanted her to win. Those early experiences built a quiet confidence that stayed with Anushri through national level public speaking competitions and, years later, in front of a camera.
Her creative side was also shaped by the friends she grew up with. There was a healthy competitiveness within the group that kept her pushing herself and sharpening her abilities. Looking back, she sees that combination of a mother who encouraged her to perform and a creative circle that constantly challenged her as an important part of her journey.
Her connection with personal finance came from a simple observation at work. Anushri noticed that many people who had been earning for years still did not fully understand their own finances. They knew the final number on their payslip, but were not always sure how their provident fund worked or what their corporate insurance actually covered. Coming from an engineering background, finance was not something she had studied deeply either, apart from some exposure through her family’s business.
She decided to learn it properly for herself. As she learned about money, taxes, insurance and investments, she began documenting that learning for others who might be asking the same questions at that stage of their careers.

That became the basis of her content. Anushri creates largely in Hinglish because she wants finance to feel like a conversation with a friend rather than a textbook. Her content covers taxes, investments, insurance, credit and everyday financial decisions, along with collaborations with finance and fintech brands. The purpose has remained simple: help people feel more comfortable with their money instead of intimidated by it.
Her journey was not always easy. In the early days, she was managing two identities at once, working as an engineer during the week and creating content whenever she had time. She wrote scripts during commutes, filmed in the evenings and edited over weekends. There was no ready made formula for balancing both, so she built a routine that allowed her to continue without giving up either side of her life.
The response from viewers gradually changed that equation. People began telling her that her content had helped them understand something about their money. Those messages showed her that the work was becoming more than a side activity. Eventually, the passion grew enough for Anushri to commit to content creation full time.
Confidence, curiosity, consistency and a competitive spirit have helped her along the way. Her early experience with public speaking meant that appearing on camera did not feel like a major obstacle. Curiosity pushes her to understand a subject properly before explaining it, while consistency keeps her creating even when growth is slow.
Her first page was not even about finance. During COVID, it began as a vlogging space where she shared everyday life. The major shift came after she started working and became more interested in understanding her own finances. A video titled “7 Different Kinds of Income” received a response that surprised her and showed that people were genuinely interested in what she was learning and sharing.
Her family has remained a strong source of confidence. Her husband, parents, siblings and in laws have never questioned her decision to build a career as a content creator after engineering. Their belief gave her the freedom to experiment, take risks and grow without constantly having to explain her choices.
Professionally, Anushri measures success through the people who tell her they made a better financial decision because of something she shared. Personally, she is proud of turning a passion into a full time career while staying connected to her original purpose. She is also proud of publishing her own poetry book, “Express ए Life”, a dream she had carried long before content creation became part of her life.
Her long term goal is to make personal finance feel accessible enough for anyone to understand over their morning chai. She wants her work to move beyond reels and carousels into formats that help people apply what they learn. “Show up even on the days it doesn't feel like it's working, that's where it's actually working.” For Anushri, the real success will be when people remember not just what they learned, but the financial decisions they changed because of it.
