Born in Surat and raised in Antwerp, Avani Dalal grew up between cultures, expectations, and enterprise. Coming from a diamond merchant family with its own business, discipline and entrepreneurship were part of daily life. Alongside academics, sport shaped her early years. Badminton became a serious pursuit, with training sessions three to four times a week and tournaments on weekends. She went on to represent her province, absorbing lessons in focus, balance, and persistence that would quietly influence her future in luxury content creation.

After finishing school in Belgium, she pursued a BBA from the University of Greenwich and later completed a Master’s in Marketing from Nottingham University. Living alone sharpened her independence. Managing studies, cooking, budgeting, and time on her own built confidence that no classroom could teach. Once her education was complete, she returned to Antwerp and worked at a business centre before marriage took her to Singapore. Within a year she stepped into motherhood while working at an employment agency, balancing career and family in a new country.

A brief move to Dubai followed, a city she adored. There she assisted her husband in his business and widened her professional exposure. When her parents retired and shifted back to India, Avani returned as well. Keen to keep learning, she completed a diploma in teaching and worked at a playschool. Life felt settled until the lockdown disrupted routines everywhere.

During that period, her daughter began creating videos on TikTok and Instagram. Avani initially stepped in to supervise for safety. Curiosity soon replaced caution. She started understanding Instagram growth, reels, and digital engagement. Participating in contests led to multiple wins, and brands began reaching out for Instagram stories and short form video content. What began as simple monitoring turned into a serious step into the influencer marketing space.

She chose to work closely with small businesses struggling during lockdown, offering authentic lifestyle content and reels that gave them visibility. Studying trends and audience behaviour helped her grow steadily as a content creator. “Consistency always pays off,” she says, a line she repeats often when mentoring new creators. Her page covers lifestyle in the widest sense, allowing her to connect with diverse age groups while maintaining trust with her audience.

As her presence grew, she noticed that brand invites and creator events often circulated within a limited circle. Believing strongly in equal access, she formed a WhatsApp community for influencers where opportunities could be shared openly. What began in Mumbai expanded into multiple groups across Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, and Bangalore, now connecting more than 1500 creators. Agencies and brands frequently approach her to reach reliable influencers for luxury campaigns and lifestyle promotions.

Maintaining decorum inside such a large network is not simple. She works carefully to keep conversations focused on genuine collaborations and not personal agendas. It requires patience and diplomacy, yet she values the culture built within the group. “Know your worth and make sure brands value your work,” she advises, especially to new entrants in digital content creation.

Her journey has not been flawless. Reels have failed, voiceovers have gone wrong, and she admits she began monetising later than she should have. Pitching during tight marketing budgets can be difficult. She focuses on building long term brand relationships and clarifying that creators bring awareness and credibility, not guaranteed sales. Trust remains her core currency.

Family encouragement has been central. What began as light hearted amusement at her Instagram wins turned into pride. Her daughter remains her biggest cheerleader. Avani believes families should stand by passion without judgment.

“Build relationships with your viewers and your creator network,” she says. For her, luxury content creation is not about competition but community, where growth is shared and credibility earned through consistency and honest storytelling.
