Dr. Parth Narayan Joardar: Combining professional knowledge with human trust for complete relief

After 36 years in the healthcare profession, Dr. Parth Narayan Joardar has arrived at a belief shaped by years of observing patients, doctors, medicines and different systems of care. His experience across Allopathy, Ayurveda and the wider AYUSH spectrum gave him an unusual view of how different therapies work and how healthcare can move beyond treating illness alone.

Over the years, he began to see that the future of healthcare may not belong to a single system of medicine. For him, better health requires a more holistic understanding of the individual, combining appropriate medical consultation with lifestyle, wellness and preventive practices. This thinking became the foundation for JOARDAR’S Wellness & Medicals.

The venture is built around chronic care for conditions including arthritis, diabetic problems, sleep disturbances, heart issues and skin diseases. Its model begins with consultation, where patients are heard carefully and guided about their treatment protocol. The next stage involves body tuning through Panchakarma, with Sharir Shodhana intended to prepare the body before medicines are advised by qualified doctors.

Yoga and meditation form an important part of the centre’s philosophy. Rather than making medicines the first answer in every situation, Dr. Joardar wants patients to develop practices they can continue at home. Diet also receives attention through guidance based on Ayurvedic principles including Rhuthu Pathya, Apathya, Ahar, Vihar and the concepts of Tridosha.

“People do not just want medicines but total relief,” says Dr. Joardar, whose professional experience has taken him across different parts of the healthcare chain. His understanding of pharmaceuticals, drug delivery, Ayurveda and patient requirements has helped shape his belief that JOARDAR’S should be more than a conventional medical shop. He describes it as a trust based holistic relief centre.

Trust also shaped the early thinking behind the business. Instead of asking family and friends to invest money at the beginning, his first request was for them to invest their trust in the concept and in him. His family has continued to provide moral encouragement as he works to build the venture.

The centre plans to connect with patients through free medical camps, consultations with prominent physicians, meditation and yoga sessions, social media communication and referrals from leading doctors. The idea is to give people an experience of the complete model and allow their experiences to reach others.

For Dr. Joardar, success is not measured only through revenue. Patient relief, repeat trust, family referrals, reducing unnecessary dependence on medicines and retaining a committed team are among the achievements he values most. His business philosophy is simple: “We do not sell medicines for illness. We give relief for better natural health.”

His ambitions extend beyond building a single centre. He wants JOARDAR’S Wellness & Medicals to combine social impact with a profitable business model while creating employment opportunities across Kolkata and West Bengal. He also hopes to help young therapists, yoga teachers and Ayurvedic doctors build their own practices in their local areas.

For people aspiring to enter healthcare, his advice comes from decades of experience. He encourages entrepreneurs to build their work around knowledge, competency and trust, especially when serving elderly people and those living with chronic health problems. For Dr. Joardar, the larger purpose is to create a healthcare model where professional knowledge and human trust can work together for better natural health.
