Venkatesh Kallur has spent more than three decades building businesses across banking, enterprise technology, investment banking, and healthcare. His career began in academia as a professor at the University of Bombay before taking an unexpected turn into the corporate world. That decision opened doors across India, Dubai, Muscat, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, giving him experience in leadership, risk management, and business growth. Those years eventually led him to launch Virgil HealthCare Platforms Pvt. Ltd., a MedTech company focused on point of care diagnostics and early cancer detection across India, the Middle East, and Africa.

Virgil HealthCare Platforms was created after Venkatesh noticed a common problem during his years in banking. He believed that spotting risks early could prevent far bigger problems later. He carried that thinking into healthcare, where many patients still struggle to access timely diagnostic services. The company is building the OnS!te Plus Point of Care Analyzer while also holding exclusive distribution rights for the CLAUDIA oncology software across key international markets. The aim is to bring reliable diagnostic technology closer to patients instead of limiting advanced testing to a few major cities.

The road has not been smooth. Venkatesh left comfortable leadership positions more than once to chase ideas that had no guarantee of success. He also faced a painful setback when an earlier business closed with a loss of nearly forty lakh rupees because of failures within the execution team. That experience changed how he selects people. "Integrity matters more than credentials," he says. It became one of the strongest lessons of his entrepreneurial life.

Virgil HealthCare is still preparing for commercial launch while raising capital and completing regulatory work. Even at this stage, Venkatesh believes conviction matters before anything else. Securing seed funding from investors became an early sign that the idea had real potential. His family remained beside him through every career shift, offering encouragement while also asking difficult questions whenever needed.

His leadership style rests on honesty, integrity, and commitment. He wants every member of the company to feel they are building something that can improve lives through earlier diagnosis. "We don't build our Business. We build our people. Then our people build our Business," he says. For aspiring entrepreneurs, his message is simple. Build character before chasing success, stay patient through failures, and never stop learning because every new chapter adds something valuable to the next.
